Backlit Awnings

Backlit Awnings are perhaps the newest and most popular method of illuminated signage.  Without question, they are the most versatile type of illuminated signage available.  A Backlit awning can provide overhead weather protection, preserve valuable merchandise from sun fading, save energy by reducing heat gain from the hot sun, provide aesthetic value  to your establishment, and at the same time offers perhaps the most attractive signage available.

Backlit awnings are typically manufactured using 1" square aluminum extrusion (see aluminum extrusion detail), and are usually covered by either a pvc coated polyester eradicable fabric, or a vinyl coated polyester fabric (there are many manufacturers and colors to choose from, however, all are flame retardant).  All lighting fixtures are double bulb high output fluorescents, installed to provide your awning with maximum illumination.  Backlit awnings have the option of a ceiling installed at the bottom of the awning to reduce glare.  Graphic capabilities are unlimited on a backlit
