Ironworker Apprentice of the Year Award

The purpose of the William A. Kolfenbach, Sr. Memorial Ironworker Apprentice of the Year Award is to acknowledge the graduating Ironworker Apprentice from the District Council of Northern New Jersey Ironworkers Training Program who most exemplifies the skills, leadership and good citizenship of a Journeyman Ironworker.
William A. Kolfenbach, Sr. lost his fight with cancer in 1999. Bill had an outstanding career in the field as an Ironworker beginning in 1961. Over his career he worked as a Journeyman, Foreman and Superintendent. He served his local in many capacities starting from Examining Committee, Executive Board, Financial Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Business Agent, Business Manager and Trustee of the Northern New Jersey District Council Ironworker Funds. Bill always served his Union, the Associations and Contractors and his Community faithfully.
It is with great pleasure that we announce this award being given in his name.
